Data license

Reuse terms for the Septic Records Access Index.

This license applies to SepticPath's original selection, organization, route annotations, and downloadable CSV compilation. It does not replace the terms of any linked government source.

Permitted use

You may download, copy, and use the dataset for personal research, property planning, internal business analysis, and source verification.

  • You may quote limited portions or publish analysis derived from the dataset when you credit SepticPath and link to the Septic Records Access Index.
  • You may retain local working copies and transform the CSV for your own analysis.
  • You must independently verify a route or property conclusion against the linked official source.

Restricted use

Written permission is required before republishing substantially all of the dataset, reselling it, offering it as a competing directory, or using automated access that burdens the service.

  • Do not imply that SepticPath or a government agency endorses your product, report, or conclusion.
  • Do not remove source, review-date, confidence, or limitation fields in a way that makes a route appear more certain than published.
  • Do not use the dataset as proof that a permit exists, that a system complies, or that a property is suitable for a transaction.

Third-party sources and warranty

Government pages, agency records, names, and other linked materials remain subject to their owners' rights and terms. This license covers only SepticPath's original compilation and annotations.

  • Official destinations can change, move, restrict access, or contain errors outside SepticPath's control.
  • The dataset is provided as-is without a guarantee of completeness, uninterrupted availability, or fitness for a specific legal, engineering, permitting, or transaction purpose.
  • For broader redistribution or commercial licensing, use the contact page and identify the intended use.
Important note

Keep the source trail attached

Credit the index, preserve its limitations, and confirm the current government source before relying on a route.
